Meet Our Foundations Author - Brian Fixter


Brian's twin passions are the law and education. For over 15 years, Brian has been instructing post-secondary law courses and encouraging a message that the law is vital for every person to know.

In his days of private practice, he was a versatile lawyer who provided strategic counsel to public and private clients on a diverse range of matters including, statutory and contractual interpretation, corporate governance, and labour and employment matters. 

Brian lends his expertise to a variety of community organizations including, serving on the City of North Vancouver's Community Safety Advisory Committee and the Human Rights and International Solidarity Committee for BC's Federation of Post-Secondary Educators.

Brian is currently the Chair of the Business Law Department at Douglas College.​
